- Use a good stiff paper, I use 110 lb card stock from Office Depot
- Laser Printers give you the best color, but ink jet printouts cost less
- Most die hard paper craft modelers recommend using an X-Acto knife, but I tend to use scissors more often. The X-Acto is ideal for small parts, but scissors are faster
- Any good paper glue will work fine, my usual choice is Elmer's School Glue, drys fast and is easy to clean up
- Having an assortment of small clamps and clips makes assembly much easier
- Also I have a few pieces of wooden doweling of different diameters available for bending parts around
- A good ruler is also highly recommended
- And a good place to cut the parts out on, a piece of heavy cardboard will work, but a vinyl or plastic cutting board is better
